Scale
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into thin rings.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the buttermilk.
  4. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot as a crunchy snack.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider baking the onion rings instead of frying them.
