- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound sausage (Italian or your choice)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sausage to the pot and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add the penne pasta, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir everything together.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for a few more minutes to thicken the sauce.
- If desired, garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
