Description

A flavorful dish combining smoky sausage and Cajun spices in a rich, creamy sauce, all cooked in one pot for easy clean-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or parmesan)
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, and pasta. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until the pasta is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Once the pasta is tender, stir in the heavy cream and cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust ingredient amounts to meet nutritional goals. Don’t skip browning the sausage for extra flavor.
