Description
A comforting dish combining ground beef and creamy pasta, all made in one pot for easy cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 lb pasta noodles
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Next, stir in the minced garlic and let it cook for another 2–3 minutes, releasing its aroma.
- Now, add the ground beef to the pan. Break it apart with a spoon or spatula as it cooks. Cook until it turns brown, which should take about 7 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste, salt, Italian seasoning, paprika, and black pepper. Stir everything together to coat the meat evenly with the spices.
- Pour in the beef broth and increase the heat to bring it to a simmer.
- After it simmers, stir in the heavy cream and uncooked pasta noodles. Let this cook until the pasta is al dente, following the package instructions—usually about 8–10 minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts into the dish, creating a creamy texture.
- Finally, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
