Description

A comforting dish that combines tender chicken breasts with creamy, buttery noodles, all cooked in one skillet for easy clean-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 7-9 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, mixing until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  4. Return cooked chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the noodles. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  5. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For freezing, keep sauce and noodles separate from the chicken.
