Description

Delicious and chewy oatmeal raisin bars, perfect for a snack or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth in another bowl.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually until well blended.
  5. Fold in the raisins.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
