Delightful homemade donuts filled with creamy Nutella, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Nutella for filling
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Whisk together the warmed milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until a dough starts to form; add more flour if it’s too sticky.
  5. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and roll out to 1/2 inch thick.
  8. Cut into circles and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  9. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Fry the donuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  11. Fill each donut with Nutella using a piping bag.
  12. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
