Description

A comforting casserole featuring tender chicken, creamy cheese, and a crunchy Ritz cracker topping.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup green onions (sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers (crushed, about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions until evenly combined.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture into the greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter until coated.
  6. Sprinkle the cracker mixture over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole is great for make-ahead meals. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 months.
