Description

A delightful combination of sweetness from ripe bananas and the crunch of walnuts, this banana bread is moist, easy to make, and perfect for any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium Ripe Bananas (Very ripe for maximum sweetness and moisture)
  • 2 large Eggs (Room temperature)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar (Can substitute with brown sugar)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (Melted)
  • 1/4 cup Milk (Can substitute with almond or oat milk)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Optional but recommended)
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (Can use whole wheat flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda (Check freshness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (Balances sweetness)
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts (Can substitute with pecans or omit)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your baking pan by greasing a 9×5-inch loaf pan or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  4. Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well to combine.
  5. Incorporate the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract into the banana mixture. Stir until combined.
  6. In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped walnuts into the batter.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture. Store properly to maintain freshness.
