- 2 cups Pasta
- 1 pound Ground meat (beef/turkey)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 cup Cheese (Cheddar/Parmesan), shredded
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
Instructions
- Start by cooking the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces.
- Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; let it simmer for about 10 minutes, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce mixture, stirring until well coated.
- Transfer half of the pasta mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with half the cheese, then layer with remaining pasta and cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
