Description

A classic comfort food packed with flavors and easy to prepare, perfect for family gatherings or leftovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pasta
  • 1 pound Ground meat (beef/turkey)
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Cheese (Cheddar/Parmesan), shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  3. Add ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; let it simmer for about 10 minutes, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce mixture, stirring until well coated.
  6. Transfer half of the pasta mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with half the cheese, then layer with remaining pasta and cheese.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
