Description

Delicious meatballs stuffed with gooey mozzarella, served with marinara sauce and optionally over pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • Cooked pasta, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and egg until well combined.
  3. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center and mold the meat around it to form a meatball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan while the meatballs are baking.
  7. Serve the meatballs in the marinara sauce over pasta or on their own with vegetables.

Notes

Don’t overmix the meat; size meatballs uniformly for even cooking.
