- 500 g ground beef
- 250 g egg noodles or your choice of noodles
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water or beef broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until it is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and water or beef broth. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture into the skillet with the beef and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- If desired, sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes for heat.
- Add drained noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until well-coated.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if liked. Serve hot and enjoy!
