Description

Quick and easy method for cooking whole grain brown rice in an Instant Pot, perfect for meal prep.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb whole grain brown rice
  • 2½ cups water or stock (chicken or vegetable)
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water using a fine mesh sieve to remove excess starch.
  2. Transfer the rinsed rice to the Instant Pot, add water or stock, and stir in a pinch of salt.
  3. Seal the Instant Pot lid and set it to Pressure Cook (or Manual) on high pressure for 22 minutes.
  4. Allow for a natural pressure release once cooking is complete.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve warm or let cool for meal prep.

Notes

Let the rice cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for 3 months.
