- 1 pound fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and let them dry. Trim any excess stems if necessary.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- Add the broccoli florets to the bowl and toss them in the olive oil mixture until well-coated.
- Place the coated broccoli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading them out evenly.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until tender and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the broccoli.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the dish.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish.
Notes
Consider adding bacon bits or toasted nuts for extra flavor. Ensure the broccoli is not overcrowded on the baking sheet for best results.
