- 4 slices of thick-cut brioche or challah
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, maple syrup, chopped walnuts, and vanilla extract until smooth and well-blended.
- Spread the filling generously on two slices of bread, then top with the remaining slices to create sandwiches.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining sandwiches, adding more butter as needed.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
