Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg, then stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just blended.
  5. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. Allow them to cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, don’t overmix the dough and check your oven temperature.
