Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) hot espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • 12 tbsp (15-30ml) maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup (177ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Extra ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso or strongly brewed coffee and ensure it is hot.
  2. In your serving mug, combine the hot coffee with maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Stir well to combine.
  3. Heat your milk until steaming, but not boiling. Froth the milk using a steam wand, handheld frother, or by shaking in a sealed jar.
  4. Carefully pour the frothed milk into the mug containing the coffee mixture, holding back the foam initially, then allowing it to settle on top.
  5. Garnish the top of the latte with an extra sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
