Description

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Red and green food coloring
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients and combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 240°F (115°C).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and salt.
  4. Divide the mixture into two bowls and color one red and leave the other green.
  5. Shape the cooled mixtures into balls or desired shapes, dusting hands with powdered sugar.
