Description

Crispy loaded french fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, sour cream, and green onions, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • Optional: cooked bacon bits, jalapeños, or any other toppings you like

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes by washing and peeling them. Cut into fry shapes.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the dried potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain the fries on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  6. Season with salt, garlic powder, and onion powder while hot.
  7. Add shredded cheese on top of the warm fries.
  8. Melt the cheese in a microwave or oven for a minute if desired.
  9. Top with sour cream, chopped green onions, and any additional toppings.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
