Description

A fun and satisfying baked pasta dish combining flavors of chili, hot dogs, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (elbow macaroni or penne)
  • 1 can chili (15 oz)
  • 4 hot dogs, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a cheese blend)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain it.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, sauté until they are soft.
  4. Stir in the sliced hot dogs and cook for a few more minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and chili to the skillet. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer this hearty mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot.
