Instructions
- Mix the Cream: In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
- Prepare the Ladyfingers: Take the ladyfinger cookies and dip each one quickly in the lemon tea or juice. Do not soak them; a quick dip is enough to moisten them.
- Layer the Dish: In a serving dish, layer half of the moistened ladyfingers at the bottom.
- Add the Lemon Cream: Spread half of the lemon cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
- Repeat the Layers: Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers, topping with the rest of the lemon cream.
- Refrigerate: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Serve and Garnish: When ready, garnish with additional lemon zest if desired.
