Instructions

  1. Mix the Cream: In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
  2. Prepare the Ladyfingers: Take the ladyfinger cookies and dip each one quickly in the lemon tea or juice. Do not soak them; a quick dip is enough to moisten them.
  3. Layer the Dish: In a serving dish, layer half of the moistened ladyfingers at the bottom.
  4. Add the Lemon Cream: Spread half of the lemon cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat the Layers: Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers, topping with the rest of the lemon cream.
  6. Refrigerate: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  7. Serve and Garnish: When ready, garnish with additional lemon zest if desired.
