Ingredients

Scale

2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and hulled

3 tbsp sugar

1 cup cold milk

Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

1. Dice half the strawberries.

2. Cook with sugar on low heat until syrupy, about 5 minutes.

3. Cool syrup completely.

4. Add syrup to a tall glass and pour in cold milk.

5. Top with diced fresh strawberries.

6. Add ice cubes if desired and serve.

Notes

Adjust sugar depending on strawberry sweetness.

Add a splash of lemon juice for tang.

Best enjoyed fresh, but syrup can be stored for up to 1 week in the fridge.
