- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to spice preference)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, to help the sauce thicken)
- Cooked white rice

Instructions
- Whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, ground ginger, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Drain off excess fat and return to stove.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef, stir well, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
