- 4 bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1 cup shredded cheese (provolone or cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the onions, and sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
- Stuff the bell peppers with the beef mixture, placing them in a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the peppers are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, do not overcook the beef and onions. Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
