Description

A delightful dish combining flavorful Italian sausage and tender bow tie pasta in a creamy tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz bow tie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bow tie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
  6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
