- 2 pounds Beef Stew Meat
- 1 packet Brown Gravy Mix
- 1 packet Au Jus Mix
- 2 cups Water
- 12 ounces Wide Egg Noodles
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 8 ounces Sautéed Mushrooms
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- Seasonal Vegetables (Carrots or Peas)
Instructions
- In the slow cooker, place the beef stew meat.
- Sprinkle the brown gravy mix and the au jus mix over the beef. Add the water.
- Introduce the sautéed mushrooms, chopped onion, and any additional vegetables you like.
- Add the teaspoon of salt and stir everything together.
- Cover and set the slow cooker on low heat for about 6 to 8 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, prepare the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Once the beef is tender, serve the beef tips over a bed of egg noodles and spoon the rich gravy over the top.
Notes
Don’t skip browning the beef for enhanced flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste. Avoid overcooking the beef.
