Description
A delightful and sweet pecan bread perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, filled with rich flavors and textures.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until fully mixed.
- In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and beat well. Add melted butter, honey, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
- Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Be careful not to overmix the batter, and check your leavening agents for freshness.
