Description

A delicious grilled chicken recipe marinated in a sweet and tangy mixture of orange juice and honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs, boneless and skinless
  • ÂĽ cup coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • ÂĽ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Zest from half an orange

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: If your chicken breasts are thick, slice them horizontally to create thin cutlets.
  2. Marinate: Add the chicken and all marinade ingredients to a gallon Ziploc bag. Squeeze out excess air and seal the bag. Marinate for a minimum of 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, oil the grates, and place the marinated chicken on the grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. Optional Stove-Top Method: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet, add chicken, cook for 5 minutes on each side until firm and juices run clear.
  5. Serve: Remove chicken and serve immediately with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken for several hours or overnight. Ensure your grill is at medium-high heat for even cooking.
