Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef (sirloin or flank steak)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips and chop the onions, mushrooms, and garlic.
- Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and the egg noodles; cook until al dente, then drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and mushrooms, and sauté for another 5 minutes.
- Brown the beef in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium, add beef broth and let simmer. Stir in sour cream until creamy.
- Add egg noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat well.
- Serve plated, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Don’t overcook the beef to keep it tender and ensure mushrooms are well sautéed for the best flavor.
