Description

Delightful fudge combining semisweet and white chocolate with refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Optional: additional crushed peppermint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine semisweet chocolate chips with half of the sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Refrigerate while preparing the white chocolate layer.
  5. In the same saucepan, combine white chocolate chips with the remaining sweetened condensed milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in peppermint extract and salt.
  7. Gently fold in crushed peppermint candies.
  8. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the cooled semisweet layer and spread evenly.
  9. Sprinkle additional crushed peppermint on top if desired.
  10. Chill for 2-3 hours or until firm, then cut into squares to serve.

Notes

Use low heat to melt chocolate to prevent burning. Don’t skip the salt, it enhances chocolate flavor!
