Description

Delicious honey walnut puff pastry twists made with a creamy filling and crunchy walnuts, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (17.3 oz) Puff Pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup Walnuts, chopped and toasted
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 Egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out puff pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the toasted walnuts over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide, then twist each strip several times.
  7. Place the twisted pastry pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
