- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
- Finely chop the salmon fillet and combine it with breadcrumbs, honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and marked.
- Prepare the slaw by mixing cabbage, carrots, red onion, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until coated evenly.
- Assemble the burgers on buns, topped with crunchy slaw.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Do not overmix ingredients to avoid tough burgers. Use fresh salmon for best results.
