Description

Warm, simple dessert of baked pears with honey, feta, and cranberries, perfect for holiday indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe but firm Bosc or Anjou pears
  • 3 tablespoons warm honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons crumbled feta
  • Optional toppings: pomegranate seeds or rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  1. Slice the pears in half from top to bottom, remove the cores, and trim a thin slice off the bottom so they sit flat in a baking dish.
  2. Drizzle warm honey over each pear half and add a small piece of butter in the hollowed center; sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until fork tender, basting with warm juices halfway through.
  4. Remove from oven, top with crumbled feta and dried cranberries.
  5. Serve warm with extra honey and garnish with pomegranate seeds or rosemary.

Notes

Serve immediately for best aroma and texture, and feel free to customize with nuts or different cheeses.
