- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed. Be careful not to overmix.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Spread the chopped strawberries evenly over the dough, and sprinkle the ground cinnamon on top.
- Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one of the long sides.
- Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are close but not touching.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
