Colorful, fruity, and easy to make, these homemade Kool-Aid candy ropes are perfect for parties or as a sweet treat.

- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup light corn syrup
- ½ cup water
- 1 (0.13 oz) packet Kool-Aid (any flavor)
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: food coloring
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Stir in the Kool-Aid and mix well to combine.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and the Kool-Aid mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- If using, add food coloring to achieve the desired color.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Roll out the dough into long ropes.
- Let the ropes cool and then cut them to your preferred length.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. These candy ropes can last for about a week when stored correctly.
