Description

A delicious twist on a classic cheeseburger, this Homemade Cheeseburger Pie combines seasoned ground beef and melted cheese in a simple pie crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the pie dish.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  7. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and flour until smooth.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the beef and cheese layers.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and center is firm.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
