- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, heavy cream, and butter.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture reaches a boil.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer until it reaches the soft ball stage (about 240°F or 115°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour into a greased pan and allow to cool.
- Once set, cut into squares and sprinkle with optional toppings if desired.

Use a candy thermometer for best results and ensure the candy is stored in an airtight container.
