Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Blend in the flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Press half of this dough into the prepared pan to form a crust.
- Spread the cherry pie filling over the crust.
- Mix the oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon in another bowl. Crumble the remaining dough over the cherry filling and sprinkle the oat mixture on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
