Description
Delicious candy apples coated in a sweet candy mixture and topped with a white chocolate drizzle, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Medium apples
- 2 cups Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Corn syrup
- 1 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- Red food coloring, to your preference
- 1 cup White chocolate chips
- Popsicle sticks or skewers, as needed
Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly under running water and dry them. Insert a popsicle stick into the top of each apple.
- In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves.
- Once dissolved, stop stirring and allow to boil until it reaches the hard crack stage (around 300°F).
- Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and add red food coloring.
- Dip each apple into the candy mixture, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess drip off.
- Place the coated apples on a parchment-lined tray to cool completely.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the cooled candy-coated apples.
- Allow the chocolate to set before serving, refrigerating if needed for a quicker set.
Notes
For best results, use fresh apples and work quickly with the candy coating to avoid hardening.
