Delicious meatballs infused with festive cranberry and orange flavors, perfect for celebrating with friends and family.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef (or ground turkey for a leaner alternative)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (gluten-free if desired)
- 1/2 cup Milk (or plant-based milk for dairy-free option)
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tsp Salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly cracked preferred)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder (or fresh minced garlic)
- 1 cup Cranberry Sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup Orange Juice (freshly squeezed recommended)
- 1 tbsp Orange Zest
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbsp Chopped Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Form the Meatballs: Wet your hands slightly with water, then take about a tablespoon of the meat mixture and roll it into a ball. Place each meatball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Continue until all the mixture is used.
- Bake: Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for about 15 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- Prepare the Sauce: While the meatballs are baking, make the sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, orange juice, orange zest, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped parsley. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce is warm and mixes well together.
- Mix the Meatballs with Sauce: Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the warm cranberry orange sauce until they are well coated.
- Serve: These meatballs can be served immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired, or transferred to a slow cooker to keep warm.
Notes
These meatballs are packed with festive flavors and great for any holiday gathering. Consider serving them with mashed potatoes, rice, salad, or vegetables.
