- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until onions are translucent.
- Layer the beef mixture in the prepared baking dish. Top with sliced potatoes and season each layer with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle cheeses on top and pour beef broth around the edges.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; then uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
