Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium and add butter.
- Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in honey and soy sauce, and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens a bit.
- Return the chicken to the pan and coat it well with the sauce. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- In a large pot, boil water and cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour and mix well for about 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Cook until the sauce thickens, then add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix in cooked elbow macaroni and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika if desired.
- Plate the honey garlic butter chicken alongside a generous scoop of mac & cheese.
- Garnish the chicken with fresh parsley before serving.
