- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup protein powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup apple filling or jam for filling
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for glaze (optional)
- 1 tablespoon milk for glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the almond flour, oats, brown sugar, protein powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the melted coconut oil, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll out one part into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the apple filling or jam in the center of the rectangle, leaving some space around the edges.
- Roll out the second part of the dough and place it on top of the filling.
- Cut to fit and seal the edges using a fork.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze; drizzle on top after cooling.
