- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
- Spoon half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli.
- Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, and marinara sauce.
- Top the casserole with the remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the ravioli before baking, as they will cook further in the oven. Use high-quality cheeses for the best flavor.
