Description

A nutritious dessert that combines oats and apples for a delicious, healthy treat perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup apples, chopped
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped apples, almond milk, honey, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool, then slice and serve.

Notes

Store covered at room temperature for a few days, in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for 2-3 months.
