Description

Delicious and nutritious brownies made with black beans, cocoa powder, and sweetened with honey or maple syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a food processor, combine black beans, eggs, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before cutting into squares and enjoy!

Notes
