Description

Delicious and fun sliders made with savory ground beef, cheddar cheese, and sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (85/15 recommended)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 count Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices
  • 1/4 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Slice the slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms together.
  6. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9Ă—13 inch baking dish.
  7. Layer the ground beef mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  8. Add the dill pickle slices, followed by the cheddar cheese slices.
  9. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  10. Whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and onion powder in a small bowl.
  11. Brush the buttery mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  12. Cover with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil for the last 2-3 minutes to toast the tops.
  14. Let the sliders rest briefly before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling the rolls to make assembly easier, and allow the sliders to rest before serving.
