Description
Delicious and crispy hash brown potato pancakes made in an air fryer, perfect for breakfast or as a side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed and drained
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Prepare the hash browns: Start by thawing your frozen hash browns and ensure they are well-drained to avoid excess moisture.
- Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the drained hash browns, flour, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Form the pancakes: Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Air fry the pancakes: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil. Place the hash brown pancakes in a single layer.
- Cook: Air fry for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Serve: Remove them from the air fryer and serve hot, with your favorite dipping sauce or toppings.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for even cooking and crispy edges. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
