Description

Delightful croissants filled with savory ham and gooey Swiss cheese, perfect for dinner or a scrumptious snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants
  • 8 ounces of sliced ham
  • 8 ounces of Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: a handful of spinach or arugula for a fresh touch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant (if desired).
  4. Layer the ham evenly on the bottom half of each croissant.
  5. Top the ham with Swiss cheese.
  6. Add optional greens like spinach or arugula on top of the cheese.
  7. Close each croissant with its top half.
  8. Spread softened butter on the outer sides of the croissants.
  9. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before slicing in half and serving.
