Delightful croissants filled with savory ham and gooey Swiss cheese, perfect for dinner or a scrumptious snack.

- 4 large croissants
- 8 ounces of sliced ham
- 8 ounces of Swiss cheese, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- Optional: a handful of spinach or arugula for a fresh touch
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant (if desired).
- Layer the ham evenly on the bottom half of each croissant.
- Top the ham with Swiss cheese.
- Add optional greens like spinach or arugula on top of the cheese.
- Close each croissant with its top half.
- Spread softened butter on the outer sides of the croissants.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before slicing in half and serving.
