Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in cheese and diced ham.
  5. Gradually add milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently 5-6 times.
  7. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For flaky layers, always use cold butter and milk.
